About & research
I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), advised by Prof. David E. Keyes. I received my B.Eng. in Electronics Engineering from Xidian University, China, in 2021.
My research focuses on the co-design of numerical algorithms and modern heterogeneous architectures. I study sparse factorizations, finite element methods, GPU scheduling, and architecture-aware kernel design, with an emphasis on reformulating classical numerical methods for extreme parallelism. My work spans high-performance scientific computing and machine learning systems, with publications at SC, NeurIPS, ICML, ICS, and ECCV, and has been recognized by the ACM/IEEE-CS George Michael Memorial High Performance Computing Fellowship and a Gordon Bell Prize Finalist distinction.
I have deep expertise in NVIDIA GPU architecture and have made open-source contributions to projects including CUTLASS and PyTorch. I have held research positions at Baidu (ERNIE Star), NVIDIA Research, ETH Zürich (HiPEAC Grant), University of Edinburgh, and MEGVII Inc.
